Friday, November 18 was a day to celebrate at OMPH School! This year marked our third year of participation in Lancaster County’s Extra Give, and once again OMPH School emerged as one of the most beloved organizations in Lancaster County!
Our theme for this year’s one day of giving, “Together, We Are Extraordinary,” resonated on November 18 as our students decided to “give extra” to the community who supports them so generously. Our schoolwide day of gratitude began with a “Celebrating Our Community Breakfast” in the school gym. Our wonderful kitchen staff prepared a complimentary hot breakfast for guests from the Ephrata Pioneer Fire Co., Ephrata Police and Ephrata Ambulance Association, as well as the Ephrata business community, our Knights of Columbus, Redemptorist priests, and supporting parish staffs from OMPH and Our Lady of Lourdes.
Throughout the day, students worked on community service projects as their way to “give extra.” The day culminated with a PTO-sponsored Fall Fest, where students and their families enjoyed food, games, crafts and a lively time in the GaGa Pit with Fr. Jim! Donations are still coming in to support The Fund for OMPH School through our Extra Give campaign. Stretch funds will be awarded in late January, so stay tuned for our Grand Total!
