FAQs About OMPH School

What makes OMPH School unique?

All are welcome!  We are a Catholic school, but students do not need to be Catholic to attend OMPH.  We accept students from all families seeking a faith-filled education.  We accept students willing to learn reverence, respect (for others and themselves!), and responsibility.  Your student is a unique learner, choose a school with small class sizes where your child can be seen!

Is there financial aid available to help with tuition costs?

Yes! OMPH School offers tuition assistance to qualifying families through the Neumann Scholarship and other private sources. Students who transfer to OMPH School from a public school, home school, or non-Catholic private school will receive a $1000 tuition transfer grant in addition to financial aid.

What is the student-to-teacher ratio at OMPH School?

OMPH School has an 11-to-1 student to teacher ratio average. We prioritize small class sizes in grades Preschool through Second to build stronger teacher-student relationships.

What safety measures are in place to ensure student security?

OMPH School has more than 35 cameras inside the school building and outside on the school/parish campus. All doors remain locked from 7:30 am until 5:30 pm.  Visitor access to the school is through the Main Office door only. The door from the main office to the school is locked at all times. We maintain a working relationship with the Ephrata Police Department, and they patrol our parking lot regularly, reinforcing the safety of our students. In additional, all volunteers and staff members have completed approved clearances through the state of PA.

How does the school support students with learning differences?

OMPH School offers learning support in reading, math, and speech through the Lancaster-Lebanon IU 13. We also have a Learning Support Teacher on staff for students who need a little extra help with test-taking. Please contact us to see if we can help your individual learner!

How does the school communicate with parents regarding student progress and events?

Teachers at OMPH School use Class Dojo to communicate with parents. We also have mandatory parent-teacher conferences each October, and optional conferences each March. Teachers are also available at any time a parent wishes to schedule a meeting. OMPH School uses Constant Contact to send out weekly emails regarding school events, uniform sales, and important news.

Is there an after school care program available?

Yes!  We offer on-site after school care from 2:45 pm to 5:30 pm daily for a per day charge.

Are uniforms required, and if so, what is the policy?

Yes, OMPH School students wear uniforms, making mornings so much easier! Logo uniform items are sold through Land’s End. We also have a gently used uniform closet where families can receive items for free. Our uniform policy focuses on modesty and being proud of our school!
