On September 12, Our Mother of Perpetual Help School inducted the first class of The St. Alphonsus Liguori Society at the school’s annual reception for Leadership Donors. This special recognition society honors the devotion of those individuals who have made the selfless decision to include OMPH School in their estate plan. The installation ceremony took place in the gym lobby, where the St. Alphonsus Liguori Society (SALS) donor recognition wall was unveiled and nine Charter Members were identified for making planned gifts to OMPH School. After bestowing a special blessing upon both the Charter Members and the recognition wall, Fr. Paul spoke about the impact of planned giving on OMPH School and how these gifts will benefit future generations of OMPH students not yet even born. Fr. Paul also spoke about how these donors consider OMPH School as family – deferring gifts from their own families to our school. Fr. Paul stated in part that, “this recognition wall, in this very public space, recognizes those who have made the ultimate gift to OMPH School and serves to inspire others to follow. From this day forward, all will know that the members of this society have paved the way for our future.” At the conclusion of the ceremony, the SALS members and the 2023-2024 Perpetual Help Society were feted at the annual Leadership Donor Dinner at the St. Gerard Mansion on the grounds of St. Clements Mission House.
