OMPH School congratulates our 8th grade students who have successfully

completed their education and have earned a diploma for their educational efforts.

Several students were honored with awards during graduation, which was held on May 29.


The President’s Award for Educational Achievement is awarded in recognition of outstanding educational growth, educational improvement, educational commitment and intellectual development in academic subjects. The standards used for this award are: improvement in approaches to students’ studies from grade 6 to 8 and improvement in awareness and care for others in grades 6 to 8. This year’s recipients are: Liv Chavez and Ian Trimble.


The President’s Award for Educational Excellence recognizes and rewards educational excellence. Students must have an A average for 8th grade, an achievement of 85% or higher on the STARS Test in reading or math, and a recommendation from their homeroom teacher and one other staff member reflecting outstanding achievement. This year’s recipients are: Emily Sedlak and Deanna Yarnes.


The Knights of Columbus Award is presented to the student graduate who has shown a consistent effort in displaying outstanding character traits, citizenship, and Christian service.The recipient of this award is Jaxon Stoltzfus.


The Reverend Patrick McGarrity, C.Ss.R. Scholarship Award is awarded to the student who demonstrates exemplary character, integrity, kindness, and compassion for others, has a passion for academics and has made outstanding service contributions to the school or community. This year’s recipient is Liv Chavez.


The Andrew and Helen Zipfel Scholarship Award is awarded to the student who demonstrates perseverance and hard work, has a passion for learning, growing, and honing one’s academic or athletic ability and is a source of encouragement to one’s classmates. This award is given to Ian Trimble.


The Doctor Laukaitis Award was established by the late Dr. Ronald Laukaitis and is given to a graduate who has achieved a high scholastic average in our departmental program in grades six, seven, and eight. The winner of this award has been hard working and driven in their studies achieving a high grade point in the Middle School program. This student demonstrates reverence, respect and responsibility. This year’s recipient is Deanna Yarnes.
