From the history of our State to how chocolate is made, OMPH School students learned outside the classroom on their annual field trips!
Our Preschool 3 and Preschool 4 students visited Oregon Dairy. Students learned about dairy cows, and had the opportunity to visit with the goats and baby chicks. They finished their day with fresh ice cream made on-site!
Kindergarten Blue and Kindergarten Gold chose a day at the Sturgis Pretzel Factory, where they were able to see how pretzels are made and roll their own pretzels. They finished their rainy day with lunch at a local park.
First Grade enjoyed a trip to the North Museum of Nature and Science, while Second Grade continued their tradition of visiting Indian Echo Caverns and Hershey’s Chocolate World.
Third and Fourth Grades headed to the Landis Valley Museum, where they experienced what it was like to be a student in a one-room schoolhouse.
Fifth Grade spent their field trip at the Reading Public Museum, where they viewed ancient artifacts from several different cultures, including ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome! Students were also able to greet the museum’s resident mummy Nefrina!
Sixth Grade headed to our State Capitol building in Harrisburg, followed by a trip to the Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts.
The OMPH Seventh and Eighth Grade classes toured the Gettysburg Battlefields, keeping with what they were learning in Social Studies.
Bus transportation and entrance fees for field trips are paid for by The Fund for OMPH School, making these trips free for all students! We appreciate your continued generosity during each year’s ExtraGive. Our families thank you!
