OMPH School Honors Mary During the Month of May

On Friday, May 9 we honored our Blessed Virgin Mary with a special May crowning ceremony. The children did not let the rain dampen their spirits! Second Grade students Rylee Hunt and Elijah Rineer, assisted by Eighth Grade student Natalie Dresch, crowned our beautiful school Mary statue while Mrs. Snyder and Father Paul led us in song and prayer. Throughout the month of May, the children have been reciting a decade of the Rosary each afternoon as a school community. We pray that Mary will watch over our families, our school, and our parish and shower her blessings on us. We seek Mary’s intercession and honor her as “Queen of Heaven and Earth.” Congratulations to the OMPH School second grade class who recently received their First Holy Communion! A special thank you to Mrs. Beth Eberly, second grade teacher, for preparing the children to receive this beautiful sacrament. May God bless you always! First Holy Communion Reflections from the OMPH School Second Grade Class will be featured in the next two School Scenes; we hope you enjoy these beautiful words from our students!
