On Friday, May 9th, we honored our Blessed Virgin Mary in a special May crowning ceremony. After church, on the alter, Second Grade students Lorelei Zimmerman and Grant Cisney crowned Mary. The school community then processed to the school, where Eighth Grade students Amelia Atkinson and Peter Morris crowned the statue of Mary. Led by Father Paul and Mrs. Snyder, our school community sang songs and prayed to Mary. We pray that Mary, Our Mother of Perpetual Help, will watch over our families, our school, and our parish, showering her blessings upon us.
Congratulations to the OMPH School Second Grade class, including members from OMPH Parish as well as St. James in Lititz and St. Catherine of Siena in Quarryville who recently received their First Holy Communion! A special thank you to Mrs. Beth Eberly, Second Grade teacher, for preparing the children to receive this beautiful sacrament. May God bless you always! First Holy Communion Reflections from the OMPH School Second Grade Class will be featured in the next two School Scenes; we hope you enjoy these beautiful words from our students!
