Missionary Childhood Association is a wonderful charity, and the students at Our Mother of Perpetual Help have certainly answered the call to support it. The MCA supports children around the world both physically and spiritually. Each month the students at the school learn about a new country they are helping with their donations. They also learn about a new Saint. This month they have been learning about Saint Marguerite Bourgeoys and the country Malawi.
Our Mother of Perpetual Help has won the Bishop’s Mission Award two years in a row, and we are aiming to win it again this year. So far we have roughly collected $3,000. The seventh graders have been busy this year planning and executing various activities for the students. From themed dressed down days to wearing Santa hats to an Easter Egg hunt students have enjoyed the fun activities. The seventh graders have also organized Living Rosaries. For our Living Rosary in October the student body made a giant paper rosary while saying the Luminous Mysteries. In May the Living Rosary will be an illuminating experience for the OMPH students.
