Sixth Grade: A Year of Growth Academically, Spiritually, and Socially!

The OMPH School 6th grade students have been busy learning, creating, and growing together this year. Since the fall, they have been working hard on their Science Fair projects, asking thoughtful questions and learning how real scientific investigation works. “We are very grateful for the support of families, who have partnered with students throughout this long-term project,” shared Middle School Science and Math teacher Mrs. Fertal.

In Religion class, students have been studying Salvation History through the Bible, exploring God’s plan from Creation through the Old and New Testaments and reflecting on how Scripture continues to guide their lives today. Students are also looking forward to their BizTown experience in April, where they will run a simulated town for the day. They will take on jobs, earn paychecks, write checks, pay taxes, and learn how cooperation and responsibility keep a community running.

Our 6th graders enjoy being Prayer Pals with students in the OMPH Preschool 3 and Preschool 4 classrooms. Attending Mass together and visiting each other’s classrooms has helped build strong faith-filled connections. In the classroom, students recently completed U.S. state projects in Social Studies and brought stories to life in English Language Arts by creating props and performing Aesop’s Fables. It has been a joy to watch our 6th graders grow academically, socially, and spiritually this school year. Thank you for your continued prayers and support,” expressed Mrs. Fertal!
