It is a privilege to be the principal here at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic School. This has been another amazing year! I am proud of the academic and spiritual growth that has happened over the school year. You can be proud of your children! As our academic school year comes to an end, I want to thank you, the parents, for your support of our wonderful school throughout this year.
Here we are at the end of another school year. The 2024-2025 School year was a great year! We started the year with a new playground. What a wonderful surprise! We really got a lot of use out if it this year. We also upgraded our Gaga Ball pit so that the children do not get too muddy after it rains! We had three pavilions added for outdoor classwork and lunches outside!
I am so proud of our students and how hard they worked this year. I am also proud of how dedicated our teachers are to helping your children grow spiritually, academically and emotionally. The children have done well this year and are prepared for the next grade.
We are excited to begin a second 1st grade class. This will allow us to have a reasonable class size for both our kindergarten and first grade classes. We are investing in a modular unit that will give us two more classroom spaces. Our 4th grade will use one side of the unit and we will use the other side for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Guidance meetings and other activities that we may need to utilize this space. We are growing and we need to plan for the future in providing the best environment for our students.
We are excited about our new clubs: Pep club, Yearbook club, rosary club and game club. We hope with parent support that we can add more afterschool clubs for students to be involved.
Congratulations to our 8th graders, Natalie Dresch, Makayla Ile, Patrick Landry, Mary Rhoades and Elliea Yarnes. They have done a wonderful job this year and are ready for their next step in their education.
We also say goodbye to our 6 to 8 grade Science and Math teacher, Mrs. Ann DiNovis. We are grateful for her service to OMPH for over 20 years. We wish her well in her retirement.
We are excited for next year. We will continue with two Kindergarten classes in addition to adding a second first grade class. Our enrollment has increased for 2025-26, and we always have room for families seeking an OMPH School education! Please let others know that we have openings in most of our classes and welcome new students to our school in any grade.
We are looking forward to a restful summer to regroup and come back for the 2025-2026 school year! Please be safe this summer, and enjoy your children.
Blessings,
Mrs. Peggy Snyder
